IMPACT 21 MANAGEMENT WEIGHING SYSTEM for the Fertilizer Blending Industry and it is almost ready for launch for Feed Blending!
Components:
Wireless dual servers attached to the office computer
1 wireless client attached to the fertilizer blender scale indicator
1 wireless client to the loader console
Impact 21 Software
Overview:
The Computer sends and receives data via the wireless server which can communicate up to 20 miles.
An order is initiated in the office. The customer specifies pounds of nutrient per acre. The software calculates the pounds per acre of product needed to meet the customer’s needs. The software reverse calculates to verify that the pounds per acre of product calculated will yield the pounds per acre of nutrient specified by the customer. The request screen is locked. The customer is identified. The number of acres to be filled by this load is entered. The pounds of each ingredient for this load is calculated and displayed on the office computer.
The operator may pass control of the computer to the loader operator, or enter edit mode and complete the order manually.
If the operator chooses to finish the ticket manually:
Operator enters weights from notes written down by the loader operator on paper. Operator presses the Save button when all weights have been entered. Data is saved, mix is calculated and scale ticket is printed in two copies.
If the operator chooses to pass control to the loader operator:
Screen control is locked on office computer. The message “Order is ready to load.” Is displayed on the loader console. Loader operator responds by pressing the Green button on the loader console. The customer name is displayed on line 1 of the loader console. The first product to load, the order weight, a ”^” and a blank area are displayed on line 2 of the loader console. The loader operator dumps the product into the fertilizer scale hopper. The Weight is displayed on the scale indicator. The loader operator determines that an acceptable weight was loaded on the scale and presses the Green button on the loader console. The computer gets the weight from the scale, verifies that the weight is valid and sends a Tare command to the scale so that the scale indicator Tares back to zero. The computer displays the weight on the monitor in the office. The computer clears the display on the loader console. The computer displays the last product weighed, the requested weight, a ”^” and the weight retrieved from the scale on line 1 of the loader console. The next product to load, the order weight, a ”^” and a blank area are displayed on line 2 of the loader console
Cycle is repeated until all products are weighed. Data is saved, the mix is calculated and scale ticket is printed in two copies . Computer sends a Clear Tare to scale indicator, which causes the scale indicator to display the Gross weight. The computer clears the display on the loader console. The computer displays the last product weighed, the requested weight, a ”^” and the weight retrieved from the scale on line 1. The Gross weight from the scale ticket is displayed on line 2 of the loader console.
The Computer clears the monitor in the office and is ready to start a new order.
In addition, actual weights of each chemical are automatically deducted from inventory to maintain better inventory control.
Advantages
- The customer has precise information about the mix
- You have better control of your inventory
- You do not have to rely upon memory or notes to keep up with the actual weights.
- You will save many hours if there is no need to travel back and forth from the office getting batch tickets that will more than likely have to be edited.
- You can observe the mix, in process, remotely from the office
The latest update to the software allows the customer to place large orders, like say 500 acres, and the loads are deducted from the order until the order has been filled..
